Tilt not raising motor, now what....

Tilt works to lower motor, but i am not getting any response on the upward tilt on my 73 Rude'. 3
My manual does not clearly explain troubleshooting the tilt/trim...any advice appreciated. Thanks!

Does the electric motor run in the up mode? If it does, manually tilt the engine to its full up position and fill the reservoir to overflowing as it may be low.

If the electric motor does not run in the up mode, check to see if a full 12 volts is being applied to it. Let us know what you find.
