tilt problem

i have a 88 force 125 hp and i had to get the tilt and trim unit replaced last spring. its not the original kind that was on it cause the marine told me they quit making that kind. anyway to my point! the tilt worked great up until last week it started not holding the motor up. it lifts fine it just wont hold it up. i would appreciate anybodys help. just some quick possibilities..<br /><br />1. Have you checked the fluid level ?? low level can result in this.<br />2. leaking connection on hoses.<br />3. Hydrolic ram has internal leak and fluid is bypassing.<br />4. Pump itself is bypassing somehow.<br /><br />check the obvious ones first.. (check them in the order I listed them in..)<br /><br />rgds<br /><br />frank
