I have a 2001 40HP ELPTO Mercury (OT 226588). The boat has been idle for 2 months and I am now having problems raising the motor. When you press the tilt button the motor moves up (from full down) about 6 inches and stops. When the tilt stops the electric motor changes pitch from under load to what appers to me to be no load. The motor tilts down no problems and can be "helped" up. Any ideas ?
