my 2003 searay, bravo 3 has a smartcraft gauge that displays numerous readings. When i use the tilt button to move outdrive up or down it will display the reading on the gauge. It will automatically over ride any reading on the gauge and display the tilt degrees when its activated. In other words if im set on reading the depth and i PUSH THE TILT BUTTON TO MOVE DERIVE, IT WILL DISPLAY THE DRIVE NUMBER AND NOT THE DEPTH, WHEN RELEASED IT GOES BACK to whatever it was previously displaying. Now on numerous occassions while under power I see the tilt display being displayed and it appears to be moving on its own, not alot but it will show that the tilts activated and move slightly up and down on its own without me pushing the tilt button. Is there a sensor or soomething on the pump that could be doing this? I really dont need the tilt moving on its own. however minimal it is, its not right. Any suggestions?
