I just purchased a 1973 135hp evinrude. After a few hours work, I was able to get it to run pretty strong. The only snag has been the tilt & trim. For some reason the owner had to cut the brackets that mount the tilt/trim motor. I got everything minus the cut brackets & pump. What can I do?<br /><br />I have a running 115 with tilt & trim and am considering removing the whole stern & swivel and putting it on the 135. It seems like an awful lot of work.
