Re: Tilt trim force motor

blown shuttle valve
blown tilt piston ring
blown trim piston ring
blown out check valve

could be other stuff but that's the most common stuff listed above.

Re: Tilt trim force motor

If fluid runs out of the fill plug, when you remove it, should be enough fluid until the unit is cycled a few times. Then checked again.

I tried to reply to PM, would not work. I try to stay away from the older engines. I`m retired travel a lot and just don`t have the time anymore. The only reason I have been on the board the past few weeks is I went over the handle bars of a dirt bike, nursing neck and shoulder. I even gave my Force manuals and service bulletins away.

Good news everyone.....4 hands are better than two. My friennd came over today and together through a homemade funnel got enough fluid in to get the tilt working.Halelula. Am going to check it tomorrow and see if it still works. Oh by the way my force is nort set up with a motor lock. what is the best way to secure motor while traveling? thanks everyone:)

you don't want to be hitting speed bumps and potholes without blocking the engine. thats a good way to blow out seals and plow a groove in the road with your skeg.
