My 150 is stuck in the up position. I can hear the motor / pump when pushing cowling switch up and down. I have done the typical troubleshooting of checking the resevoir, swapped out relays, reseated swith connectors (red, blue, grenn etc). The boats on a lift and access to motor is tough. I will drop the manual release but would rather exhaust all options to determine if motor or actuator assembly is bad first before hauling it out for an R & R of components Any suggestions would be greatly apreciated.

You are at the point of having to loosen the manual release valve, use an impact driver to loosen it. Don't try to fully remove it.

Support the leg and then loosen the screw, lower the leg by hand and cycle it a few times by hand, check fluid level. It could just need bleeding and cycling is how you bleed air out. Keep topping it up.
Retorque valve to 45 inch lbs ( very tight!).
I had to put a wrench on my big square shaft screwdriver to get it tight enough that the system would work.

Thank for the heads up. I was trying to avoid it but it is the next logical step. Eventhough the resevoir cap is plastic and does not seem to be under pressure I thinking the cap would need to remain on while manually cycling up & down then removing cap for fluid level check. I plan on working on it this weekend, could you clarify this or does it matter?
