tilt/trim not working

Hi<br /> I have a boat with twin Merc.1998 225hp bluewater series and while running offshore the trim button on throttle got stuck in down position and now the port engine will not trim up,the trim motor sounds like it is still working in the down position but nothing happens when i try to trim up,is there a reset button on the trim motor itself or did the motor just fry itself? Also the throttle switch controls both motors at same time and stbd.engine will trim up and down fine why not the port engine?<br /><br />thanks:bill

Hey Bama Boy,<br /><br />There are seperate relays for up/down on that motor. Replace that relay.<br />Its easy and shouldnt cost over $20.<br /><br />If the up relay is out, you can reverse the wiring at the relays and get the motor up til its fixed.
