First of all I added TT fluid to reservoir. It 
was not low but was foamy .<br />Second-the motor is running and when I loosened the line where it enters into the lift it appears to be pumping fluid(I have no experience in repairs and do not even know the correct terms in most cases). There is a different type sound when I try to go down than there is when trying to go up(allbeit that it is stuck and will not go up any further it sounds as if it is trying when I push the up button and only whines when trying to go down)<br />Third-this is an arco replacement motor installed by someone else a year ago and has worked ok until now.
