I have the unit for tilt/trim for a 1976 85 hp johnson. It needed a new motor so I bought one for it and its the right one I just cant figure out how to get it on there. Where it should connect to the pump there is something that looks like the inside of a starter on there. I'm assuming thats the inside of the old motor. I took the old housing for the motor that was on there off about 2 yrs ago and cant remember how it went. Should that come off? and how does it come off?
