I have am unmolested 105 on a likewise unmolested Chrysler Conqueror SIII that has armstrong tilt and trim. Oh man does this thing need remote tilt trim. The ergonomics of reaching out from the back seat plus the old damage in my back and shoulders makes tilting it literally a pain. :grumpy:

I know a fair bit about older Mercs but this is my first Chrysler adventure. So if one of you gentlemen would chime in after looking at this ebay auction and tell me if this is the right parts I need I would much appreciate it. Force Outboard Power Tilt and Trim | eBay
The main thing I was wondering is, will these cylinders and pump go into my existing bracket or will I need a later bracket. Or maybe I am barking up the wrong tree.
Thanks
Mark

probably fits, but depends upon your engine brackets. need picture of starboard transom clamp (side view) and tilt tube (from inside boat looking back).

Thanks for the reply,
It seems I carefully avoided getting any shot of the right side. These two pics are the best I have on hand. And the boat is not here at the house. The pics are large so you can zoom in a lot. I will get more detailed pis tomorrow when I will be at the shop working on it.
Thanks,
Mark

Although the seller says the clamps will only fit the later motors, maybe this deal will work.

Force Outboard Trim Tilt Pump Motor Cylinder Stern Clamps 90 120 125 HP 1989 94 | eBay

Or snag this one and replace the motor with one of the imports.

Or here is the whole shebang so I only would have to worry if the pivot is the same.

Forget the stock setup, everyone is jacking the prices up on old used units. You could by a used one, and have to replace a bunch of seals, find wiring, etc. Check out CMC power tilt/trim units. You can pick up a brand new kit for around $700. They have a 6" setback kind of like a jack plate. I have never regretted paying for mine. In fact there is a used unit on ebay hovering around $300 right now. CMC PT 130 Power Tilt Trim Unit | eBay

look on the right side bracket. if there are three threaded holes in a triangle then you are good to go with any 3ram (trim, tilt, shock) setup from 1972 through 1992. Buy a unit that has never been near the ocean, swamps, or brackish waters and you won't have much trouble doing repairs as they are needed.

I have considered the self contained tilt trim jack plate setback setup but not for this project. This is a keep it original resto and upgrade situation.

Its looks like I am good to go with the three holes. That's good news since I cant figure out why other than being really cheap the PO didn't spec T&T. This boat has the motor way back, and low and a forward facing lounge all the way across the back. You have to step into the rater large motor well to lift the motor, unless you have the upper body strength of an orangutan. And getting to the tilt pin or lock from inside the boat...forget it, unless you like falling over the side into 40 deg water. And I can get rid of that goofy Doel-Fin.
Thanks to all.
