tilt/trim stopped working

hi i have a j1171 trim pump motor it stopped working when i finished bleeding the the system. i tried to jump wires to make it run but it didn't so i disconnected the motor from the pump and connected it straight to the battery and it worked. i looked at the trim/tilt sensors on my outdrive and the wires look bad (exposed) do you think this would cause it not to work. i'm going to buy new new solenoids and clean all connections and see what happens. when i put the pump on the battery it was kind of loud is there any way to quiet it down at all.

In your other thread, I gave you the troubleshooting chart with wiring diagrams for your trim system. You might want to look at it, it will lead you to the cause of your problem.
