tilt trim works only on motor

hello my tilt trim only works on the motor switch the guy i got motor from said his hand throttle button was broken so i plugged mine in and it still doesn't work and mine worked on old motor so i start following wires everything looks good except i found a green wire coming from the tilt trim thats cut anyone know were this wire suppose to go ???IMG_0736.jpgIMG_0737.jpgIMG_0738.jpg

There is a solid green wire that goes from the trim control box to the motor. That can't be cut, or the trim switch in the cowling would not function. There is a green wire with a white tracer that goes from the trim control box to the throttle control box handle. If that was cut, the trim would not go down, but would function in the up switch position. You should look at the top of this Johnson/Evinrude webpage and look for the wiring diagram thread, then look up your model year. That may be more helpful.

ok thx for reply i cant figure this out its a solid green wire coming from the trim tilt unit in the same wire bunch as the black and white wires that go to the relay box it must go somewhere ??
