recently i was at my local lake fishing trolling in shallow water and a fishman cam by and told me that with th motor out of the water it makes the boat un baance and cause it to sink. i thought he was full of $hit but after thinking i thought this could be true. i also watched fishing pros and they always have the motor out of the water trolling in shallow water. what do u think

Hey Tex,<br /><br />I don't know about the sinking part of the guys advice especially in shallow water but that's why they are putting two and three trim stations on boats nowadays. So while you're in the forward swivel chair fishin and you need to get that motor out of the water fast you don't have to run to the middle or back of the boat. you can adjust your course with the trolling motor and get the O/B out at the same time.<br /><br />Most of the fishing shows I watch the motor is down while trolling. I was surprised that the 18' boat I just bought had three stations and that's exactly what I was told they were put there for. In older boats I've had I was happy to have the one. <br /><br /><br /> ;)
