Has anyone ever seen a hand operated hydraulic tilt/trim unit? Do they work good.I just bought a parts boat with one on it. It has a hand lever and a single hyd. hose running back to the boat motor.

Re: tilt/trim

Mockersonman,

I installed one on a boat for my dad about 10 or so years ago. I believe it was made by CMC. He seems to think that's who it was-he bought it. :D

CMC, now makes electric/hydraulic universal tilt/trim units. Perhaps they still make that one. You might try a search using "CMC" on this board.

Re: tilt/trim

On a previous post I wrote how we used to make our own from a car jack. I don't know of your specific model however if it has a lever and a hydraulic hose then the let down or lower should be somewhere bt the lever like on a jack. It should just need releasing a bit to work.
Ross
