tilt/trim?

Hey everyone. I have a 1976 Evinrude 35 hp tiller handle. My question is: can I put a power tilt and trim unit on this motor and if so, how much are they and is it worth it? Or should I cut the transom down?

Whether it's worth it depends on you. Finding an old motor with a system that still works is cheapest, but it can be done. The one below is 550.00 for the setup. Looking around there could be others which cost less, but still probably run you around 400. Is you transom so high you need to cut it?

The cavitation plate is 1/2"-3/4" above the bottom of the boat.
