Tilt & Trim

Hey folks. Question: Can I use a three wire Tilt & Trim on a two wire Tilt & Trim? Three wire has Blue, Green, and Black wire. Two wire has Blue & Green. Johnson 90 HP. 1990 . If so, what would be the correct way to wire?
