Finally got my 84 evinrude 115 mounted and running like new. Question is this..it does not have tilt/trim..it has a shock absorber to assist with manual tilting but this seems to be harder to do than it should...is it a big job to swap out the shock for a new one?

Check at Shop.Evinrude.com and look up your mtr. You'll get a better idea of what it will take and prices on parts.
