timing a 1979 chrysler 115 hp

i need to know how to set the timing on a 1979 chrysler 115 hp. belt driven distributor. mechanically inclined, just can't afford manual.

Ahhhh! You can't afford the 30 bucks for the manual, but you can afford to fill the tanks with gas. I suppose you can also afford to repair the engine when you "lunch" it because you did not follow manual directions. LOL

Anyway:Timing is set a 32 degrees before TDC at wide open throttle if it is a distributor ignition engine. If you want to be safe, you can set it to 30 degrees.

Prestolite distributorless ignition is set to 30 degrees. There will be a group of three marks on the flywheel rim. The center long one is 30, the one to the right is 28, and the one to the left is 32. There will be a plate above the top carb with a top dead center line scribed in it. Set the center line on the flywheel to the scribed line at WOT and your timing is right on.
