timing adjustment

Where is the adjustment made on a 1987 force 50 hp to advance the timing? I see no conventional adjustment screw on this motor. Can anyone tell me where its located?

The 87/50 came with 2 types of ignition.
The early came with points, No visible adjustments.
The later came with Prestolite and the timing was adjusted at the end of the trigger
where it connects to the towershaft.
Always include the model/serial #s

The timing doesn't usually move/jump unless you do something to it???

Thanks. This motor has no points. It has a magneto and an electric start. It has marks on the flywheel and videos showing how to adjust with a timing light. Just cant find where the adjustment mechanism is located. I,ll look at the tower again. thks

On my 90 Sport Jet the timing adjustment is at the top of the tower kinda under the left front of the flywheel.
There is a screw threaded to connect with the trigger coil arm under the flywheel.
The 50 might be different, but most of the Force outboards are similar

The trigger under the flywheel is usually where the adjustment is made.
I believe it needs to be at full throttle to get to the adjuster nut.

But if you didn't change the trigger?????
Then you don't need to adjust anything.
These don't jump timing like a car motor.

What's wrong that you need to adjust ??

Do a compression and spark test, post the results.
