Timing and valve setting 140 merc 3.0 1983

Hey everyone, I just replaced my cylinder head. Bolted her on, And tightened the valves i dont they are set right. what do i do once u put on a new head? and how do you time it with a tach and dwell. I am new to all this and want to learn alot from this engine. Also i cannot find the notch on the wheel that lines tdc of cylinder 1 or 4. ( its just so rusted) is there another way?

Go to 'adults only' at the top of the page....
Look in mercruser manuals, I don't see #3, but #2 will work for your questions......
There's just to much to walk you through it, read the manual & post back if you get stuck.....
