I have a copy of a manual for the motor serial # 967282 tis a '56 Mercury MercElectric mod 25E. Manual states that the "recomended spark advance is to be set at .235 btdc? I can set the piston there, but does that mean that that is the location that I set the point gap to .018 as well. Very confused in Indiana and second, I am waiting on my order to arrive with my two new condensors that are needed... can the motor be test run without the condensors installed?, I know just another stupid question, but this is how I learn the best, thanks!
