Timing light question

I just obtained an old timing light with a non-inductive type clamp for the plug wire. What would be a good way to make an adapter to go between the plug and the boot? TIA

At the distributor you can usually pull the boot back to expose the connector. Put the exposed connector back on the distributor then clamp the plug pickup on that. As long as you have a good plug and a good wire you shouldn't get any arcing. Be careful though.

Or just go pick up a cheap light with the inductive clamp. It's been years since I worked with the non-inductive type, but needless to say they are quite a pain in the...

If you can find the right size spring That will fit the plug 3or4'' should work well.

I remember using a Rebent Paperclip...........<br />Like an "S" shape......<br /><br />Always at the Dist. Cap,... Rather than at the plug......
