Hi everyone I am new to this forum and I was hoping to get some help setting the timing on my dads boat. She's a 1979 omc 140 horse. I think I have the just of it but I need to know what I should set it to. I read that the 260 is good anywhere from 7-10 deg BTDC due to the fact that we don't have leaded fuel any more. I highly doubt this would be the same for the 140 and I can't seem to find it anywhere. Thank you in advance to anyone who can help.

Point gap initially .018. I don't remember the dwell setting. Remember with points its not as simple as set timing and go.
