1989 Volvo Penta 230B I4/VP 275 outdrive
I've gotten my Volvo cleaned, painted and resealed. I figured I'd run it on the stand for a few before I put it up while I finish the rest of the boat. Trouble is, I know what the plug and point gap are, and what the dwell is suposed to be, but have no idea what base timing is on this engine and at what rpm. Can anyone out there give me a hand with this?
I'm gonna make a data plate to put inside the engine bay.
One more thing. I've built many a carburetor but this is the first Solex. It has an adjustment for the accelerator pump. How is this set? BTW I have the kit # for this carb if anyone needs it. Any import parts house can get it. It's unbelievably pricey though VP.
