tinted resin as floor paint

hello, i am in need of painting teh floor on my boat, and i am sold on teh fact that i can use resin and tint it to any color i like, but i hear its not UV stable. what drawback would this mean, and how long would it stay that color. also , is there any way make it UV stable?<br /><br />ive done paint and it scrapes off, as i aften carry heavy gear, tanks, grills, lots of large tools and i am conserned with it not scraping off

Use gel coat instead. Add antiskid so you can walk on it without slipping. West Marine sells it all.
