Sorry about this, I know I've seen a lot about tiny tach questions on here, but I just can't figure this out. I have the 2C model from Cabelas and when I installed it on my 2-cylinder, 4-stroke outboard it reads 4250 rpms at idle. It SHOULD be around 950, according to the user manual I have for the outboard. How do the cylinders fire on each rotation, and do I have the right kind of tach!?!? Thanks!

Contact Tohatsu at 972-323-6003 as I do not have a clue about Tiny Tachs.

You have to order a specific tiny tach for a specific motor, my guess would be that you have the wrong tiny tach ........

If you can return the Tinytach get the commercial version that you can select the number of pulses per revolution. That model you can use on anything that has a sparkplug wire - single cylinder two stroke to V-8 car motor.
