Tnt and non tnt controls.

My boat is currently rigged with 79-95 style NON tilt and trim controls with my 79' 55hp. I'm looking at an 88' 88spl which has Tilt and trim but they are not including the controls since they replaced the 88spl with a 150 and kept there controls for that engine. What I'm wondering is if the wiring harness contains Tilt and trim wires all the way to the controls so I could just install different handle with the switch and be done with it or do I need to purchase the whole control unit new. (main reason for asking is this adds to the cost of this engine and I may keep looking for one that includes controls.)
