Ok just want some confirmation. My trim wont bring the motor out past the point that the two metal bars come out to on the motor when running anything over idle. is this normal for these motors? this is my first outboard and on IO i can bring the motor all the way up at WOT....just wondering but i think my fluid is low... any takers?

Re: TNT problem..

are you saying that you cannot fully trim the motor out at WOT, only at idle? What metal bars are you referring to? Checking the fluid level is a quick 5 minute check. Unscrew the screw on the resevoir, it should be topped up. If not, rest it up on the locks, top it up, cycle it, top it up again, etc... until it is full.

what motor year hp. thats why it is called trim and tilt. you are correct. this is an 1988 90hp, the short pistons are the trim, the motor is in tilt position, all the way up.
