Parts are hard to get and often needed for Force engines. They do not have a good reputation.

I have had zero problems getting parts and support from Suzuki.

There are much better choices than a Force out there.

Good luck. :)

its a 50/50 deal.
i had a chance to buy a rebuilt 120 force that someone beat me to.
so i got a 120 johnson that was supposed to been rebuilt.
the johnson has been a nightmare. wished i had the force.
but it could have gone the other way.
-
in all its how the motor was taken care of, & is there someone in your area that works on force motors.
now i have been able to find parts for the johnson, and i cruise ebay all the time.
you dont really sea as many force parts, but they are out there.
-
i had a friend that had the 1986 force 85hp & it ran great for 3 years, the transom cracked on the boat so he traded it in on a pontoon. other wise he would still have it.
-
you can look at this forum and sea that no motor is with out flaws or break downs.

comparing Force to Suzuki isnt even close to apples & oranges. I dont own either brand. I dont know if Force is a bad motor or not. But I do know from what Ive seen that if Suzuki had a larger dealer network they would put a hurtin on their competitors.

Force is no longer made nor do I believe supported with parts, if it is ,not for long!

Suzuki makes all the Johnson 4 strokes so I would think that parts should be a problem.

If its the boat you want pay for the boat dont give much for the motor.
