The fuel. I'll not be boating for the few (less than 3) winter months. Should I drain the fuel out of my Yamaha F50, 2013 model? Recently replaced an older F40 that was carbed and drained the carbs each winter on that one. Should I do the same with the new F50 with fuel injection?

Re: To drain or not to drain...

3 months is not a big deal, particularly if you have stabilizer in the fuel.

I drain the carbs several times a year on my 90HP Yamaha just to remove any water or debris that might accumulate....takes about 10 minutes and give great peace of mind....a great preventive maintenance item....

Robert he said it is a EFI not a carbed motor

G stabilize the fuel and make sure it is run long enough to get through out all of the system
