If you don't you risk water accumulating in the tank from condensation. If you fill it make sure that you add the proper amount of stabiblizer. It is very effective and will prevent your fuel from deteriorating. Motors like fuel but not water - don't run worth a damm on water either - wish they did.

Before you use it in the spring change the water seperator filters which I assume you have. In the spring top off after you have burned 25-50 gal.

after you fill, run it for a while so that you circulate the stabilized fuel

Re: TO FILL OR NOT TO FILL

I have a 150 Gallon tank as well. I talked to several marine mechanics. They all said stabilize where its at and run it. The amount of condensation in your tank should be minimal, and when you add a fresh 145 in the spring, you'll easily take care of any condensation in the tank. Just fill it all the way full in the spring, change your fuel water seporator. When you run through that 1st tank, you could change you separator agian if you'd feel better.

My vote...stabilize what's left in the tank and run the engine(s) to get the stabilized fuel through the system. In Spring add the appropriate amount of drygas during fill-up to rid the tank of any condensation. It's worked for me for over 25 years.
