I have a boat that had been sitting for five years 89 force. Pumped old gas out. There is orange grit coming from gas. Put a second filter with glass on it so could see what is going on and it gets fulll of the orange grit. Should I flush the tank or just buy another and by pass old tank altogether. I do not want to have to keep paying somebody to re-clean carbs.

If it's easy to get to,flush it out. Then use DAWN soap to break it up more. After you clean it a couple of times then put in a GOOD two stage filter. One with a settlement bowl.Racor is a good bet.
Then change all the lines in the fuel system.Ethanol is messing up a lot of stuff.J
