I'm running a 150 hp on my Trophy 2002, a 21.5 ft cuddy cabin. it runs well but out of the hole it does have quite a bit of bow up angle. I've been considering a hydrofoil. Any input will be appreciated..
Thanks

You can use the "Search" tab and find about 1000 threads on hydrofoils.

Just found that out!... Thanks. I'll probvably stick one on since I can for around 100.00 just to see what happens. If I don't like it, I'll just take it off.

That was the reason we tried one on my cousins GX 150 with a 90hp eninrude. We installed a Se-sport 300 foil on it, and it got rid of the high bow problems. Haven't had any bad effects from the foil so we're happy with it. I run the same foil on my V156, it really helps keep the bow down when pulling a skiier from the pylon.

If you are spending $100 for a foil, why not spend just a little more and get some genuine help with Nauticus Smart Tabs. No stress on the lower unit with those.

What he said.
For about the same money you get quicker planing, stay on plane with less power, better handling and less wander at no wake speeds.
And full factory support both here and on the phone.

I WAS FACED WITH THE SAME DECISION LAST YEAR. AFTER READING SEVERAL THREADS I WENT WITH THE SMART TABS. BEST MOVE I EVER MADE TO GET PERFORMANCE OUT OF MY 18' STARCRAFT AND 115hp MERCURY.

While foils can work for some things, it's not what you need, get the tabs.
