I am a little disappointed that you closed the ETEC 50/Johnson 50 4-stroke thread. I think this a very common comparison, and a hard decision for someone in the market for a 50HP outboard. It takes two people to argue, and I certainly was not trying to argumentive. I appreciate you trying to keep the board civil, but I think this one could have gone a couple more "rounds". Just my opinion - if I'm out of line, let me know.

The horsepower ratings may have been different, yet the same stories and opinions, from the same people, applied.<br /><br />If you would like to read more from the past threads, just do a search using the search words e-tec vs four stroke.
