Hello Guys.<br />First of all ,thanks for your interest and efforts to help.<br />It turned out to be as simple as applepie.Once I got the early 1960's (same as '57) airguide tachometer.Two wires were for the light and the others were one to the block ground and the other one to the cutout switch where a wire off one of the contact points is connected.<br />This simple piece of advice came from Bill Mayer,a 76 year old NOT retired outboard mechanic,who does it for the fun of it.<br />If you have any questions, I will go and ask him.<br />Oh yes Lark.If I would take my boat to be judged in a show ,I would probably be laughed out of the water.But who knows,maybe in a year???
