I am rewiring my boat and want a hook-up that I'm not sure how to do. I have three toggle switches. My aim is to only have one line leading from the pos. and neg. at battery. How do I run the switches from that one line?

Well GS, you can run your wire from your battery to a distribution strip and from that you can run individual wires to your terminals. You can also purchase a 12 volt panel from any marine store that has all the switches and fuses already mounted. hope I can help? Delta Breeze

gspiller - The theory of how to do what you asked is simple. The proper application is not. Your simple re-wiring project can lead to disastrous consequences (even death) in short order if everything is not done correctly. If you want to proceed as planned, I strongly recommend you get yourself a copy of this book. It will help you will any/all re-wiring project(s) for your boat. The book is easy to understand and has everything you need to know in it. Your finished product will be as good or better than anything you would get from a boat manufacturer…and certainly as least as safe. :)

http://www.iboats.com/mall/index.cgi?prod_id=11203&current_category=book>electric&cart_id=283944566
