Tohatsu 2-stroke beats all others by 34%. True ?

According to Tohatsu their TLDI system (http://www.tohatsu.com/tech_info/tldi_faqs.html) both solves the environmental problems and gives all the 2-stroke benefits and even gets lowest consumption.<br /><br />Although this kind of info always is to be taken with a grain (spoon) of salt, it IS interesting.<br /><br />Does anybody have experience with the system?

I looked into these motors and it's a good sales<br />pitch for sure! wonder about parts/service support though???

Service points are always very impportant. I know about each and every boat engine workshop within a daytrips range and there's one who is spefically skilled. Nice guy with top service. Even a complete mobile workshop that works almost around the clock during the season.<br /><br />He's an authorized Merc dealer and has about one wall full of diplomas and stuff collected over 30+ years.<br /><br />I'd say regardles of other pros & cons, that such a fella nearby beats any hot specs and promises from other brands. There is good Volvo folks and more around as well, but this one really is outstanding.<br /><br />I do not know about Tohatsu around here, but I guess they are at least as good as the average. My main suspicion was if their claimed acchievements were true..?
