Tohatsu 6hp 4 Stroke running rough

My Tohatsu is running very rough and erratic. On top of that there is a tube coming out of the carburetor which runs to the outside of the housing (next to cooling water telltale) that is leaking gasoline. Can anyone offer a suggestion on what to do to correct the issue.

Your carb is flooding, and the fuel is overflowing out of the vent tube. You need to pull the carb and fix the needle/seat to work properly. You probably also need a new spark plug by now. While at it, do a Proper carb cleaning.
