I have a 2010 Tohatsu MFS6B long shaft motor. After recenly completing a carb rebuild I had it idling in a large bucket of water and I noticed some water leaking out on of the joints on above the lower unit. The telltale stream is stong. The water leaking at that joint was hot compared to the telltale stream. I never would have noticed it in the water because that part of the motor would normally be submerged.
I tried to post a picture but my camera isn't cooperating this morning. My question is, how big of a deal is this? I am hoping that maybe this is something that I can postpone fixing so I can use the boat this weekend and postpone fixing it until later?
Thanks!
