Tohatsu Season Issues

Was wondering how much does off season affects engine performace. My current 2 strokes 18 HP engine was running perfectly at idle and wot speeds in summer, now that entering into winter, (sunny days are gone) the engine just rattles/hesitates a bit while passing from idle towards wot, the carb maintains it's factory adjustments, if going for a slight lean mixture, will this help to remedy the problem ? carb, fuel filters, spark plugs are in impeccable condition. Any ideas ?

Longer warm-up time in cooler weather. Aside from that, no big differences.

Hola Paul,

If longer warn up at idle speed, won't that give more plug like fouling condition being to long at idle, Tohatsu recommends at least a 2 minute warm up. Will give a try.
