Couldn't find any number even close to yours. It is very likely built by Eska could be sold by Sears.Possibly a "Ted Williams". They use a air cooled Tecumseh power head with a water cooled leg.If it's truly a 5.5 it appears only made 2 years.75 and 76.Uses a Tecumseh AV600 power head.Should be a tag on it.Eska numbers begin with 19 There are 9 numbers listed lowest is 1905C highest 1975A.Apparently no specific order. These motors are also sold as Explorer,Federal,Golden Jet,Hanimex,Hiawatha,Pathfinder,
Seaco,Seacruiser,Grant,Sea King,Sea Hawk,Skipper,Sport Fisher,and Wizard.

Re: tomknoll

thanks, steelspike.. In addition to the engine tag saying: tecumseh T643 20B and 7542779 . I took the outboard apart to wash parts and found a riveted plate stating: ESKA. Model 1975A, Serial #57-018358. If in fact it is a "ted williams" air cooled head, then i think I'd better buy or make a hood(cover) for it..before I overheat it... the guy i got it from said he never had one. oh, oh.
