I have recently changed the fuel pumps on a volvo penta 2002, 18 bhp. Then, when i started the engine, the motor ran on max rpm, and we wasnt able to shut it down, before we cut off the fuel intake. After year with a bad fuel pump, I believe the motor have been adjusted to make the best out of that little fuel that is coming through the pump. The new pumps was taken from a similar motor, and should be working properly. The engine is now getting normal amount of fuel, but the amuunt of fuel is getting the idle rpm to the roof.
Then my question is; how do I turn my idle rpm, down to normal. The pumps should be properly adjusted already.
