Too many wires!

Wiring a transducer on my boat and have all in place except the final power connection.
Thought easy enough look under dash and connect my red to red and black to black on the ignition.
Looked under but no black and no white, other option for the ground, I thought.
We do have a red but then a number of yellows and even a green thrown in for good luck.

Please give me some guidance on what to look for to make my two connections.

Assuming your boat was built to ABYC standards, the color codes are googleable...

Your boat must have a fuse panel does it not? Make the connection there.

Abyc, The DC grounds are now yellow. This removes confusion when troubleshooting and identifying Ac wiring from Dc wiring. Bonding wires are green.
