Too much damage to use once?

Just wondering if anyone has an opinion on if this prop has too much damage to use one time.

It got damaged in storage. I have a new prop on the way but the mail is taking forever and it isn't scheduled to be delivered until after memorial day weekend. I want to use the boat on Saturday. I know there are tons of differing opinions and that I should only use a prop in perfect condition but my question is will this prop cause damage if I use it once before the new one arrives?

Just for reference it is attached to an alpha one outdrive on a mercruiser 4.3LX v-6

Thanks!

you know, if you file off the jagged edges, and it does not vibrate badly, maybe ?????

One time no sweat unless it has a serious vibration.
I ran props worse than that for several seasons of weekends. Not a good idea but things survived.

I would use it unless it's vibrating a lot.

Maybe file the other blades a little in the same location... just to help keep her in balance. But should do you just fine for the weekend.

Re: Too much damage to use once?

Props are designed to be run within a certain balance tolerance, motors are designed to run balanced props, anything less puts abnormal stress on the drive train not always creating noticeable vibration. It's your motor, are you feeling lucky for one weekend ...
