too much oil in gas mixture

what happens if there is too much oil in the gas mixture.

what problems will that cause? would that excess oil make it difficult to start my motor?

It would only make it difficult to start if you had WAY too much oil, like 2:1 ratio. If you just inadvertently doubled up the oil, the only downside would be the motor making lots of smoke. Could also create a problem if you intend to troll, as you could foul a plug. Otherwise, just run it through. If it bothers you, run it halfway through and add a bit more gas to thin it out...
