too much oil?

I have a 55hp evinrude and after it's been turned over a couple of times and run's for a few seconds at a time there seems to be a little bit more than usual amounts of oil coming out of the prop area. Is this a leak or just expelled oil from the exhaust. if so how can i reduce the amount of oil coming out of the prop? thanks

Just unburnt fuel/oil mix. The engine sounds like its turning over a fair bit before firing if your seeing that. <br /><br />Are all cylinders firing?

An overly rich mixture will show the same basic indications...

The fuel mixture is 50/1 correct? other than that thanks for all the help and I look forward to smoking out my yard on the weekend!!!! thanks for the advice.
