He was dizzy, felt like the room was spinning, and fell. He didn't hurt himself, but a couple hours later still felt dizzy and asked me to take him in. They did a ct scan, and found what they think is fluid in his brain. They transferred him to Indy for an mri. He was awake and alert, but still unsteady. I'll find out more later.

Sounds just like vertigo, which is NOT FUN. In a way, good thing he had it to make him get examed to find possibly more serious issues.
Some years ago, my wife had a bad case of vertigo one night. Took her to the ER, they did a cat scan which found a small, benign brain tumor. It really wasn’t a big deal and we were told, there was a decent chance it would never get any worse, but decided to get it taken care of while she Was still somewhat younger. Didn’t want to deal with it down the road when she was in her 70’s.

Hope all turns out good. Many Men have a problem of not drinking enough water (liquids) and dehydration can cause similar things without the fluid on the brain. If he hit his head going down might be what caused it

Also a common problem for men that have been described "Flowmax" a medication for urinary flow issues. Dizziness is a common side effect.

My dad has been experiencing this for a few years. Supposed fluid in scull. Initial concern was aneurysm, but Tests and more tests indicated not blood. Blaming his heart and BP for the dizziness. Still haven’t figured it out. Fluid still supposedly there as of July when he had last scan.

I told him his “thinker “ fluid was leaking out and soon I would be smarter than him.

Good luck.

I'm back from the hospital. They're keeping him for now, no answers yet.

The drive sucked. I'm a small town shut in on big 4 or 5 lane highways, in an area I know nothing about, and the gps screwed me up a few times. I made it back though.

Not looking good. Lung cancer came back, and I think that's what spread into his head. I tried to call into the nurse's station last night to talk to them, but his was still doing paperwork and forgot to call back.
Really sorry to hear that. Sounds just like my FIL, he had brain and lung cancer, don’t recall which came first, but it caused the second

That's hard. Similar to what happened with my dad. Thoughts and prayers with your family.
