boat seemed to run great, no serious issues, didnt take on a drop of water. i had 1 instance where around a turn it seemed like it came out of forward for 2 seconds at 1500-2k rpms, but it re-engaged on its own and jerked the boat forward when it did. at the end of the night we got stuck in mud, and i thought the outdrive took a **** untill i realized that 100 yards off shore was only 2.5 feet of water. i topped out at 37 mph, boat wont rev till 4500 like its supposed to, its stopping at 4k flat. not sure if its the prop or throttle adjustment yet.

but right when the girls were getting comfy and trying to start partying, i did this. not sure on the diagnosis yet, getting an xray in the morning

Sounds like the prop was ventilating......... do you by chance have a hydrofoil mounted on the outdrive?

By the way seems like every time I have a bag full of empty recyclables I get an ouchy also................:D seriously though I hope it's just a tweak of the ankle

Sounds like your shift cable is out of adjustment. If it drops out of gear and then engages, you are going to have a serious repair to the drive. I wouldn't use it again until you check your shift cable adjustment.

How did you do that to your ankle? Good to hear that you got the boat on the water,. You have done a substantial amount of work in a short period of time. :thumb:

there is nothing mounted on the drive at all, the shift cable may need adjustment, i will check that before i take it out next. i left the boat at the marina last night as i was planning on taking it out fri. if im out of work with this ankle/foot i will go down before then and see what i can do for it.

i messed my ankle up stepping off the engine cover. i guess my foot went slightly sideways on the 2-3 foot drop and when i stepped it just rolled right over
