i do there are usually rivits or screws holding rub rail on. there can be a rubber moulding covering the whole rub rail or a rubber insert that comes out. once that's off there are a ton more rivits or screws. usually there will be a sealant and it can be tabbed with fibre glass on a glass boat. if you post a picture of what you have im sure you can get an idea what you have to do
